Brief introduction to book "Augustine One Man, One History"

"Augustine One Man, One History" is a complete introduction to the life of St. Augustine as a Saint, Father, and Doctor of the Church.

The content and simple language of the book has made a major contribution to the Persian literature, because there are few books in Farsi with no predetermination, which offer clear idea about the life and works of the Christian Saints.

 The book explains how a young Manichean in search of truth becomes one of the faithful servants of God. In this book you will find many references on the doctrine of St. Augustine , because the content of the book often refers to his famous work called "Confessions".

 It also has many notes which are the result of meditation and study of the translator during the years of study in Vatican Universities. For anyone who is interested in doing a search on the Christianity, Christian philosophy and Christian theology of the fathers of the Church, knowledge of St. Augustine is crucial. Brief introduction to Edik Baroni

I would like to dedicate a small chapter of this website to a person who is one of the fans of the city of Abovyan . Even though he was not born in this charming city, he spent a lot of time in Abovyan with his close relatives and friends. He is Edik Baroni. He was born in Iran from an Armenian family.

After finishing his high school in Tehran , he traveled to Italy and became a clergy man in Salesian congregation and lived there for almost 10 years. He is graduated from the Pontifical Salesian University of Vatican in philosophy major in 2001. In addition he completed his theological education in Pontifical Gregorian University and Pontifical Oriental Institute of Rome in 2005.

For many years he has been a Salesian missioner and teacher of religion in high schools of Italy , Iran , Turkey , and Syria . He speaks Armenian, Persian, Italian, English, and French. He published a few books and articles related to the life of Saint Augustine and Armenians in Iran .

"Augustine One Man, One History" which is a translation of Saint Augustine 's life from Italian to Persian language is considered his masterwork. Even though Edik currently is living in Glendale , California , he still maintains his close relationships with inhabitants of Abovyan.
