He was born in 1946 in village Sarchapet, Tashir marz, and attended the local school. He got his first professional education in Kiev, 1965-1968.
In 1970 he studied in St. Petersburg in Art Academy in the faculty of Theory and History.
Barseghian worked in academy and collaborated with E .Y. Maesenko and Y. M. Neprentsev's studios in 1972-1982.
In 1980 Zhora Barseghian created some colors from Armenian materials. He had got his own and has taken part in Armenian and other Union exhibition. He has done more than 3500 canvases.
He has created more than 32 monumental statues in different cities and districts.
In 1984 Barseghian's studio with more than 180 important canvases were burnt in fire.
Zhora Barseghian has taught hundreds of artists.
In 1995 he opened the children's studio.
Mr. Barseghian writes poems and is busy with scientific and psychological Works.
He has designed a great number of books.
