Կարոտ… Այս բառը յուրաքանչյուր մարդ յուրովի է ընկալում, նայած թե բառն իր համար ինչ բեռ է կրում…Մարկոս պապի պատմությունը հայ ժողովրդի կարոտի պատմությունն է… Ինչպե՞ս շարունակվեց Հայոց Մեծ Եղեռնից փրկված մարդկանց կյանքը…”Նրանք 1915թ.-ից հետո մազապուրծ անցան Ախուրյան գետը, Արտին(Արտենի) լանջին հայացքի առջև կառուցեցին իրենց նոր տունը, զավակներ ունեցան և նրանց փոխանցեցին իրենց տեսած ու ապրած ճշմարտությունը: ՀՀ Ազգային հերոս Թաթուլ Կրպեյանն այդ ահեղ ճշմարտության հավատավոր զավակն էր: Նա Գետաշենի փրկության սրբազան նպատակին նվիրաբերեց իր կյանքը և իրավունքով իր անունը գրանցեց հայ ազատագրական պայքարի ոսկե փաղանգում… ” (Ռ.Սահակյանի “Արծվապաշտ երկիր”գրքից):

 Աբովյան քաղաքի Նիկոլ Վանյանի անվան թիվ 5 հանրակրթական դպրոցում մարտի 31-ի վաղ առավոտից անսովոր եռուզեռ էր տիրում: Նշվելու էր Արցախյան մարտերում զոհված հերոս Նիկոլ Վանյանի 50-ամյակը, ինպես նաև տեղի էր ունենալու դպրոցի բակում հերոսի կիսանդրու բացման արարողությունը:  Նիկոլ Վանյանը ծնվել է 1961թ. մարտի 31-ին Դաշքեսանի շրջանի Բանանց գյուղում, սովորել է թիվ 5 միջնակարգ դպրոցում, ավարտել է գյուղատնտեսական ինստիտուտը, ծառայել է ԽՍՀՄ բանակում, 1988-91թթ. ակտիվորեն մասնակցել է Արցախյան շարժմանը` Խնձաձորի, Ղարադաղլուի, Քարինտակի, Շահումյանի շրջանների ազատագրմանը, պարգևատրվել է  Մայրական երախտագիտություն և  ՀՀ նախագահի Արիության մեդալներով: Զոհվել է Կրկժանում` 1991թ. դեկտեմբերի 28-ին:

The Abovyan student’s council has been founded in 2003 with the initiative of Gagik Tsarukyans “Charitable Fund”. Since 2008, June, the student’s council has been leaded by Venera Gyulinyan.
