In the 80-ies Abovyan city celebrated the opening of the first company of actors in the House of Culture. The first performance was called “Charlies Aunt” (the producer is Mr. Sasha Gharakhanyan ). In the second half 80-ies the company was completed with young staff. As they were not satisfied with being amateur the went to study in different cultural educational establishments of Armenia and came back as professionals. Drastamat Hovsepyan (Daso) was born in 1958 in Goris. At 12 his family moved to Abovian city. Upon graduating the local school he enters Yerevan State "Mayakovski" Art Studio. Abovyan is famous with his talented singers and musicians; one of them is Grigor Hambaryan. He was born in 1961. From 1978 till 1985 he studied at the music school by Arno Babajanyan in a vocal faculty. In 1985 he entered Yerevan State Academy of Music by Komitas and studied 5 years in a vocal faculty.
