Through sponsorship of Canadian-Armenian benefactors Vrej and Imastuhi Nikoghosian, the “Hayastan” All-Armenian Fund’s Montreal local chapter has launched the second stage of renovation of the maternal ward in Abovyan city of Kotayk province. The program envisages full renovation of the birth-post-birth division located on the second floor of the hospital. We remind that the Fund renovated the maternal ward-operation room with support from the benefactors in 2010, and the termination of the current reconstruction will provide state-of-the-art services for patients at the hospital.

Նախկին թիկնապահը փորձել է կացնահարել մի տղամարդու Այսօր՝ ժամը 20.20–ի սահմաններում Էրեբունի բժշկական կենտրոնից ոստիկանության Կոտայքի բաժին ահազանգ է ստացվել, որ իրենց մոտ է տեղափոխվել ձախ ոտքի մասում հրազենային վնասվածքով մի քաղաքացի։ Ինչպես Կոտայքի մարզից հայտնում է ֆոտոլրագրող Գագիկ Շամշյանը, հիվանդանոց մեկնած ոստիկանության Կոտայքի բաժնի աշխատակիցները պարզել են, որ հիվանդանոց տեղափոխվածը Աբովյան քաղաքի Նաիրյան 2-րդ շենքի բնակիչ, 46-ամյա Անդրանիկ Գյուլբուդաղյանն է։ Գ. Շամշյանը հայտնում է, որ նա հիվանդանոց է տեղափոխվել Աբովյանի տարածքում գործող «Ռուսալկա» ռեստորանային համալիրից։

The headmaster of the 6th secondary school Greta Kroyan can be served as a bright example together with the 6th  B  grade class pupils carrying the name “little Njdeh”. The Abovyan student’s council has been founded in 2003 with the initiative of Gagik Tsarukyans “Charitable Fund”. Since 2008, June, the student’s council has been leaded by Venera Gyulinyan. The council has its constitution, flag, hymn, symbol, calendar and uniform. With the sponsorship of Gagik Tsarukyan’s she has been charged with such problems as tuitions covering and supporting free buses to students. The current week Abovyans museum of friendship of Armenian and Russian people were full of Cultural events. It has been started with celebration of the librarian day. The participants of the events were collaborators of libraries of Abovyan city and the whole Kotayk region. They congratulated each other and the best librarians of many years were awarded by honorary diplomas. The director of beauty salon "Elona" Eleonora Malayan surprised librarians with her presents and charming gifts. The competition festival “Kotayq 2009”, which took place on the 30 of July in the cultural centre of Abovyan, was really dancing celebration for all people, who live in Kotayq and especially for dancing groups of Kotayq. The program of the competition festival consisted of folk and national dances. Two age groups took part in the competition. The presentation was estimated by the jury. It is already 38 years since in the 17th of June one of our great poets Paruyr Sevak left us forever. But his death was physically, as his poetry lives in the soul of each Armenian, and Memory stays in everybody’s heart. We can say this surely as every year many people, who love Sevak, visit his native country Chanakhchi, and put flowers in his memorial in the place where the car accident happened, then in his garden where a tomb is.
